Maths Week 2021

During Maths Week 2021 Ms. Lyons' 4th and 5th class took part in a Maths Olympiad. The Maths Week 2021 Olympiad is an innovative event held in collaboration with Living Maths in South Africa. Its primary focus is to empower teachers and learners to find creative and concrete ways to help improve the standard of Maths in schools. It is open to all schools in the North and Republic of Ireland. We are delighted to report that six of our 4th class pupils placed in the top 3 in the country in this competition this year with Róisín Looney coming in first place! Our other top 3 achievers were Darragh Liston, Tomás Moane, Saoirse Ziolo Barrett, Emily Bourke and Chloe Dunne. Well done to these pupils on this huge achievement. We are very proud of them!
